Japanese high scool dramas are all about cliches. Here are the most popular ones, so if you ever watch one you're very very likely to find some of them
- The protagonist is a cute but uncool girl moving to a new city
- There are two popular cool boys in the class
- The protagonist girl ends up living close to them
- The other of the guys is nice and sweet and the other is cool and unfriendly
- At the beginning it seems like the protagonist gets along with the sweet guy but at the end the cool one was the one after all
- Other girls at the class are cute and jealous and bully the protagonist
- ...And of course these princes help her
- At some point the protagonist girl gets hurt and they go to infirmary
- If there's only one guy then it's just the mean one (I have no idea, apparently Japanese girls find mean guys attractive...??)
- The aquarium date
- School trip camping in a forest and the protagonist gets lost in a forest and of course the prince comes to save her
You can tell the end of the story just by looking at the picture:

Kurosaki kun no iinari ni nante naranai

Principal: Am I a Heroine Who Is In Love?

(Good Morning Call main trio)

Peach Girl
And there is A LOT of this stuff.
I swear you just described every single Japanese high school drama I've encountered, as well as 90% of all romance anime/manga. Not that it's necessarily a bad thing, the target audience of Japanese girls must at least somewhat like these tropes, as they still keep using them...
VastaaPoistaIt does get frustrating sometimes though, especially the mean guy thing. Sometimes the other guy is super sweet and always supports the main character, yet in the end the main character picks the asshole. I just don't get it.
